MOS (Def) Organizer

I’m not a huge tech fan.  Not because I’m not tech savvy but because it’s just way to much to keep up with and the second you buy something its old news and onto the next bigger and better thing.  Not only is it impossible to keep up but the mess of mangled cords and cables are a nightmare!  Before began putting together my work space, one thing I had been looking for tech wise was a creative/cost friendly/ACTUALLY works way to organize and manage the madness of cords and cables.  I mean seriously, it’s so irritating having to dig through a nest of cords and cables to find my laptop plug, speaker connectors, printer USB, and WiFi charger.  Even worse, 9 times out of 10 I end up having to actually move furniture just to get to those cords because they’ve fallen behind my desk.

A few weeks ago I was e-mailed about reviewing a product called the MOS Organizer after my post about my new creative space.  So before getting into the details of my thoughts on the MOS Organizer here is the background on the company that has created this genius device and how it works.

-The MOS Organizer came to life through their Kickstarter where the company launched their campaign in July 2012 and reached their goal in August 2012!  That’s mind-blowing!

-The product has received some stellar reviews including this one from Apartment Therapy.

-The MOS Organizer is a cord organizer to help manage frequently used cables and cords by keeping them in one neat and tidy place.

-The MOS is a  small triangular-shaped device that has a rather powerful magnet.  It comes with 3 different colored rubber cable ties that contain individual magnets to attach to the cord and then the organizer when not in use so you won’t have to wrestle around in a mangled jungle of cords when you need to reconnect a device.

-The MOS can sit anywhere but it also comes with a handy 3m backing if you want to attach it to another surface vertically like your wall or even the underside of your desk to keep it from view.

-The MOS comes in 3 styles to suit your taste – White, Black, and Aluminum.  I chose the white one.

I have to admit I was a bit hesitant when I first received the MOS Organizer mainly due to the magnet.  I was worried about the magnet interfering with my laptop and various electronics that it would be near.  Luckily, I’ve moved past that point and I’m totally impressed with this little gem.  I’ve found other cable organizers that are just to help label the cords but not keep them in one secured place and if they are made to keep cords put they are a total pain to mess with and in my mind just not worth the hassle let alone the money.  In our world of instant gratification and easy-to-use products the MOS is my cup of tea.

Once I received the MOS, I played around with its new home because of its options for attaching it to a wall or desk and had one of those ‘OMG!’ moments when I remembered my desk’s attached dry erase board is metal.  The MOS has such a powerful magnet it snapped right onto the board and has been there ever since!

It has been so awesome being able to unplug my laptop and speakers when I leave the room and not have to try to yank the cords strategically in hopes that they’ll be sitting on my desk when I return.  So to sum it up, the MOS is MOS def a keeper!  I can say without a doubt that this genius little invention is here to stay – and not just because of the magnets!

*This is a product review for the MOS Organizer.  This review is my 100% honest feedback on the product.  I was not paid by the MOS Organizer company but I was perked as they sent me a MOS Organizer to test and keep in return for my honest feedback/review on my blog.
